Art - Your Interpretation?? What it's all about?

Over a glass of wine with G-man, (my future hubby,) Art - Your Interpretation was born.

It all began when I took an online course on intuitive painting by Flora Bowley. As Flora recommends, I paint in layers, making marks, finger painting, being free.

As my paintings are large and have kinda taken over my house, they were stacked against a wall in the kitchen meals area. G-man and I were making dinner together (something that I love to do) whilst discussing one of my in-progress paintings and what images we could see in the layers. In the different rotations of the painting, we both saw different images.

This lead to more discussions about how we each bring our own experiences, ideas, feelings - interpretations - to art... and well, to life.

By listening and talking about these interpretations, we begin to understand the person a bit more.

There was a lot more in depth philosophical discussion had (and maybe another glass of wine!)

Then Art - Your Interpretation was born.
